    Hugh Torance House and Store
    This house is one of the oldest in North Carolina. Hugh Torance House is constructed in the federal-style as the home of Hugh and Isabella Torance and their son, James. James Torance ran a retail business in the home from 1805 until 1825.

    Historic Latta Plantation

    Historic Latta Plantation is a living history museum, representing life on a 19th-century farm. A former cotton plantation, the site contains a simple, furnished, two-story home, a replica log house, a Yeoman's cabin and more. A costumed docent leads tours of the plantation.

    Historic Rural Hill Farm

    Historic Rural Hill Farm was the home of Major John Davidson, American patriot and signer of the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence. There are farm buildings to explore and a variety of animals to see. Educational programs and special events are held throughout the year.
